As I only had 9 days and mountains on my mind, I started with Golden Temple, to seek blessings, explore, chill and then headed to Shree Jwalaji, Jwalamukhi, HP.
This shaktipeeth visit had one chapter of my life that I needed answers to and I’m glad, everything worked out pretty positive.

From Shree Jwalaji to Dharamkot, Dharamshala & McLeodganj.
On the way to bhagsu waterfall at McLeodganj I met this beautiful couple of nearly the age of my parents, and there was no looking back as we hit off really well, they had come to explore the same destinations as me, on the same dates as me so we just had to meet as they were coming from Golden Temple too!

There are always a LOT of people thinking like you do and waiting to meet you for the very first time to love you as the part of gods plan.
So whenever you feel an ounce of insanity scratching you to step up and shake a bit, indulge and go beyond the usual.
There is a lot of peace in the uncertain, unseen and unsettled.
I have always been the gifted child of god, just as joy, accepting pain has always risen me from my centre to another realm of unimaginable gratitude 🕉️❤️🙏
I had a meeting with his holiness Dalai Lama, the energy, aura everything about the divine soul had magnetism, his holiness’s soulful healing eyes..im blessed he took my hand to his forehead to bless me and he prayed for Papa’s soul as I informed him about Papa..
I was constantly smiling while I was infront of his holiness and right after I walked out to collect my bag, I cried a river I was so overwhelmed.
July 6th that’s the day his holiness was born in 1935, a date that’s gravitated in my life in different names and relevance.
Even Frida Kahlo (who I love) was born on July 6th 1907, the point I am trying to make is, universe has magical ways to speak with us, there is a reason we are a sum of all the people we have given a lil piece of our soul to, in presence and in prayers.
We always have what’s meant for us in our lives, be that joy, pain, people or turmoils.
It’s all part of god’s plan..
..and after the mesmerising blessings, I moved to Dalhousie, met a few friends there and then explored Dalhousie with this couple who I had met at Bhagsu, we then together headed to Khajjiar, where we visited the Khajji Nag temple that had wooden statues of Pandavas & Hidimba temple, spent some time with the horses, rabbits, some fish, sun and the scenic view, before embarking on for the dainkund trek & temple and to panchpula water fall and called it a day..next we got back to Golden temple, spent some quality time again, I did my Jallianwala visit & JCP Attari- Wagah Border solo visit and an entire night of seva making gol gol wheat rootis at the golden temple on the night of 6th dec ‘23 until the dawn of 7th dec ‘23 ; had early morning darshan again saw the palki saheb come and go twice once on the arrival and second on the way back to home, making for fantastic 4 darshans in my first ever visit to harmandir saheb (golden temple)
The couple left for their home from Amritsar as they had a flight.
It’s amazing how I drove all these distances when parallelly there was this couple doing all the same planning in another city to reach these same destinations on the same dates and we had no clue we would meet on a trip and become friends for life!!
Their daughter is nearly my age, Papa you are surely ensuring I’m in safe hands at all times🪔
From never driven on a highway, to going to places since past two years by road, solo, I have come a long way Papa🩵
Sometimes, strength finds us and chooses us, to make us stronger not only for ourselves however also for the people who look upto us for their only support 🫶
Solo travel helps you build your character even more stronger than before, your boundaries more defined and your purpose in life more pronounced to you.
The power of passion and perseverance you hold for life and the things you love will always find their way to reach you.
There is however one constant that always helps boost proof your destiny, and that is sheer surrender to the universe 🕉️❤️🙏
This was my first ever visit to Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, JCP Attari -Wagah Border, McLeodganj, Dharamshala & Dharamkot (aka mini Israel), Dalhousie, Khajjiar(aka mini Switzerland of India), Dainkund trek & dainkund temple 🛕 and panchpula wasterfall etc.
The ONLY darshan/ aarti - I did not shed tear drop surprisingly in the past 2 years was of Shree Jwalaji- I visited Jwalamukhi in the month of May ‘23 too, however it’s written in our stars ‘what will happen and when when’ all we need to do is have faith and offer courage to align our innermost energy to the almighty.
A big thank you to National Highways, National Highways Authority of India - NHAI- for a spectacular experience, the highways are mind blowing, atleast the stretches I took.
BSF, BSF Punjab for the flag lowering ceremony at the JCP Attari-Wagah Border - sheer grace, discipline & pride.
Golden Temple - for a divine darshan and having me over for seva ❤️🙏

I was also very lucky to meet and befriend a whole bunch of recently moved temporary locals at McLeodganj who belong to the same regiment where I just fit in because we all are one big happy family after all.
